Satellite centrifuges are rotating machines and not vibrating. They are among the most efficient equipment for most of the operations of polishing [2] and deburring.
These facilities consist of the following families :
- Satellite centrifuges horizontal axis
- Satellite centrifuges oblique axis
Their main advantage is the very high energy they provide to the media allowing :
- Reduce very significantly the duration of deburring operations (Interest is particularly strong for hard materials or abductions of important material).
- To use media very small, extremely difficult to use in vibrators (the low energy of the vibrators does not compensate for the reduced inertia of the media – related to their mass – on the one hand and the setting movement is not done correctly, other, cycle times are too long)
