Centrifugal disks

Centrifugal disks is mainly composed of a motor, a process tank with a polyurethane coating.

The working tank consists of two parts : the upper part is fixed and the tank bottom plate is rotating or. A gap seal, separates these two portions. It must be rigorously controlled ; finally, the use of abrasive or parts whose size approaches that of the joint must absolutely be avoided. These equipments are well suited for polishing [1] or deburring.

During treatment, the movement of the workpieces is toroidal, due to the movement of the plate.

The energy generated by this type of equipment is approximately 5 times greater than in a vibrator.

However, it is about 5 times lower than in centrifugal barrel, which has not the disadvantage of having a seal to maintain.
